Guia Circuit

Guia Circuit

The Guia Circuit is a street track comprised of tight corners and long straights. Just like any other street circuit in the world, it happens to be bumpy, narrow, and there are not many overtaking opportunities. The unique aspect of this track, however, is the altitude change of almost 100 feet between the highest and lowest points.

The main straight is also extremely fast with Formula 3 cars hitting around 260 km/h. Overall, this track is regarded as one of the most challenging in the world due to the altitude changes, long straights, and twisty corners that all happen in one lap. Hence, it is quite common to witness the Macau Grand Prix accident throughout a race. The length of the circuit is 6.2 km, and there are 19 turns. It belongs to Grade 3 in the FIA classification.

Macau Grand Prix Schedule

The Grand Prix Macau was first held in 1954. It is one of the few events were motorcycles and cars take part. The elevation to the world championship status for significant events like the World Touring Car Championship has been crucial towards enhancing popularity. It primarily features races like Formula 3, FIA GT World Cup, and Guia Race. Apart from car races, the schedule on Saturday and Sunday also presents current or former racers from the Superbike World Championship and Isle of Man TT. This year the event will be held 19-22 November 2022.

Regardless of the schedule, punters can be sure that the event may witness a crash or two just like in the 2018 edition. The accident of Sophia Flörsch has also made the organizers come up with redesigning the circuit configuration, which will be slightly different.

Drivers & Teams

The 2018 edition witnessed Dan Ticktum extending his glorious spell by winning the competition for the second consecutive year. The British driver succeeded a lot in the 2017 and 2018 campaigns, but his pinnacle achievement would be winning the Macau Grand Prix, as very few drivers can boast of the record. He had a perfect run in 2018 after managing to qualify on pole, set the fastest lap, and finish on top of the podium. Despite the overcast conditions, the race had a lot of entertainment.

Motopark Academy was unable to pick up a clean sweep in almost every aspect. The team no longer has Ticktum in the line-up. The presence of Macau Grand Prix winners, like Ticktum, made Motopark Academy extremely strong in 2022, but there are plenty of challenges that prevent further achievements.

The 2018 event happened to be the 36th edition for Formula 3 cars while the FIA F3 World Cup cars were featuring for only the third time.

Macau GP Betting

The Macau Grand Prix F1 and other events attract plenty of betting interest with odds available on many markets. The process of filtering through different choices can be done by individuals who have been following the event for a long time, but various permutations and combinations make it a challenging process. A better idea would be to choose a tipster to get all the best information for a successful punt.

Betting Review

The winner’s odds will be one of the first markets that punters can choose when going with the Grand Prix in Macau. Since there are multiple races involved in this event, there is no shortage of choices. The results have to be followed keenly even during the sessions that take place before the weekend. Most of the racing action is on Saturday and Sunday.

Aside from the market for winners, the Macau F1 Grand Prix punters can also take advantage of any additional markets like the results from the qualifying race, which comprises of 10 laps. The fastest lap and pole position can be immensely rewarding, but the 2022 edition will feature the use of new engines for the first time in the case of the F3 cars. These have to be considered when making the punt.
